IMF expected to make yuan a reserve currency: Why it matters

The International Monetary Fund is widely expected on Monday (Nov 30) to annonce that it will add China’s yuan – or renminbi as it’s also known – to its basket of reserve currencies, a status now enjoyed only by the US dollar, the euro, the British pound and the Japanese yen.
